I believe I've seen pics of the 476 with this plow attached. May have to check one of my Dorman books tonight. Although in that picture it's not attached it might be undergoing a "fitting" so to speak before it was installed. I'd guess the time frame is 1951 or so. The 476 looks as it did while on San Juan duty. On the narrow gauge never say never--you know.
