Roger,
It's really heartening to know that you and I and a host of contributors were able to raise that much money for the 483.
The last $350 came from sale of one of the 483 builder's plates donated by George Lavacot. I understand you sold a donated milepost #319 for $319.00
I'll be at the NG convention in Salt lake, with two more builder's plates, 483 and Goat T-shirts and sweatshirts that I bought from you, the "483 3-chime Lunkenheimer whistle" that I bought last year, the 483 pins that I bought from you, and a bunch of other goodies, including some tapes that I have made. Watch for an update soon on the site that I developed for the 483.
I'll soon be taking orders for Alumalite replicas of builder's plates for not only 483, but ALL the CTSRR locomotives- all proceeds to 483.
While I am at it, let me point out to those who may not know, that the '483 fund' is a bank account that is administered by the CTSRR Commission. As "co-founders", Roger and I got the commission to establish it last year. Except for what I paid Roger for shirts and pins, neither of us makes anything from it.
