I did run it down the track twice. They rolled up a beach towel at the end and it did a pretty good job of stopping the train with no damage incurred.

Actually, the only thing you must use is the supplied block of wood (which make up the frame and the cab), the axles and wheels. The rest is pretty much up the person building the car.
