The June 1949 Alamosa Division timetable says "K-36 and K-37 engines must not be double-headed over bridges 319.95 and 339.78..." In as earlier discussion on this board it was pointed out that this allowed doubleheading of a K-36/37 with a smaller engine like a K-27 or K-28. By October 1965 the restriction was simply "Locomotives must not be doubleheaded...". And the current C&TS rules not surprisingly repeat the 1965 prohibition.
