I am reading about the location called Weston in Park County Colorado in 1879. The location only lasted a few months, and when the railroad continued building on towards Buena Vista, the town kind of disappeared. Many Fairplay businesses built at Weston even though they knew that the place was to be shortlived. Does anyone know how the name Weston was selected for this place, as Weston Pass was a fair distance away towards Leadville. I believe that this location also had the largest tressel on the DSPP cross the creek just to the south of this site. Does anyone know of any photos of this bridge, town site, maps of the area or information that might be available on this shortlived railroad location.
