K-36 roll-overs

May 27, 2009 11:43AM
William,
I would be interested in knowing about other K-36 roll-overs, if you know. I am aware that 489 wrecked on Cumbres in approximately 1926. In fact, the remains of her original cab can still be seen at the wreck site. Also, I know of 483 wrecking and rolling over outside Durango in 1958. She still bears the scars of that wreck. And of course, there was 485's famous turntable pit plunge, resulting in her scrapping. But I could not recall any others.
