Thanks for posting, Dave -
As usual, your photos make me wish I had been there.
Does the VVRy run all year, or at least on weekends in the 'off' season?
I stopped by last June on route to visit my sister in Prescott, and it just seemed too hot to ride that day - over 100 at 10:30 am. How's the weather in February or March? And what about early October, on my way home from Chama? I presume the cottonwoods will be turning gold by then ...
Thanks in advance for your always appreciated sound advice.

p.s. Next time you're in the area, be sure to visit the museum and fascinating ruins at the Tuzigoot Indian National Monument at Nohitsnorunsno, Ariz., just a few miles east of the VVRy depot. Of course being
1/
256 Tuzigoot myself*, I am bit prejudiced in its favor.
pps. According to information posted in the depot / gift shop, the VVRy uses diseasels to avoid scaring the many eagles which nest in the canyon off their roosts. IMHO, if I were an eagle I would much prefer the haunting wail of a steam whistle to the obnoxious BLAAAT - BLAAAT of an air horn ...
