Jeff, good catch on the hinges in front/latch in back. I did go to the museum today and checked out this Pyle headlight very closely and took several photos. The wings are definitely vintage and are not replicas. There are part/serial numbers in multiple places including the wings (they all start with 14xx with varying numbers of digits). They are hinged at the top with the latch at the bottom. The entire wing swings up. Looking at my photos of D&RGW/RGS locos it does not match any of the Pyle's they had. This investigation includes standard gauge also. In the pictures that I have looked at 95% of the lights have the hinges in front and a latch in back. I believe, after looking very closely at this light that it is from another railroad entirely. On a separate note the museum has a 5-chime steam whistle with the initials D&RGW in raised letters around the base. One of the other whistles has a small picture of an L-131 hanging on it. I think that they probably have the picture on the wrong whistle rather than having two D&RGW whistles - just speculating though on that. One other item of note is an extensive spike collection that contains a Jeffrey spike. I took pictures of all the noted items but have not had time to download them yet. I will try to get to that tomorrow and I will post them then.
