For this excurion the 489 was painted with a green boiler--it's very dark and hard to tell. I have a photo of this train switching at Poncha Jct after coming back from Monarch and with direct sunlight on the loco it'still hard to see. So even if a loco had a green boiler it would be hard to distinguish--it wasn't very bright like the D&S has recreated over the past years. Just a small tid-bit of info for those interested.
