The Dodge folks moved on from Silverton to a little gas station on US 50 just east of Cimarron where they shot the other version of the commercial. I think that was all that was involved with this shoot. Jeep, which is a part of Chrysler, also uses Colorado a lot including Silverton, and helicopter chases, etc. We've had film crews in town this week from 60 Minutes and someone else, but for an Olympic gold medal winner snowboarder who is hanging out here this winter--need to find a train angle for him.

And to tell the truth, I never saw the 1976 Centennial/Bicentennial train--must have been working. But I remember B K Boles--he was a regular visitor to the Pickle Barrel.
