yeah, Old Rick remembers,

I was living in the luxurious accomidations of the Depot with its luxurious lath walls (no plaster, no insulation, just lath on 2 x 4's) and no running water in those days. The "necessary" was a port-a-potty.

Water was a cold water bucket and a dipper. If you wanted warm or even tepid water, it was a matter of firing up the coal stove... if we had any coal.

I also remember that the caboose was reserved as lodgings for the weekend volunteers, when they showed up, because all of the state people were gone over the weekend.

Ah... to be young and foolish like that again.
