The targeted nature of these thefts are far more consistent with the handiwork of someone in the know looking to peddle parts (that, or a desperate foamer looking for a new mantle piece), and one who knew what's in demand. Scrap thieves wouldn't have gone for things like a sight glass and a dimmer switch. In the small fraternity that is steam, an unquestionably stupid move on this bozo's behalf that will surely and hopefully catch up with them; nonetheless, with the despair pressed on so many with this economy, it's something I wouldn't put it past certain "class act" players in this field to pull of. Next you'll be hearing of guys jacking up tender trucks and snatching brasses. (I've already heard of it happening). Keep your ears to the ground, and remember, what may appear an unbelievably great deal might well have been another man's steal.
