yea, we figured just building them out of wood would be a bit more practical for hanging purposes.
the 18 1/4" x 10 1/4" measurement was made by Roger Hogan from the current 463 number board. i was unaware that the k-37 boards were longer, but it makes sense being that an extra number would have been on there.
anybody know the dimension of the k-37 so we can fix it?? if it's minimal, it may not be worth it, but we are trying to get as close to the prototype as possible.
the pic's you see are actually only 2 boards. the bumblebee 268 is finished, and will go to a friend of ours that has helped us tremendously with our model railroading. the other is a blank board that the numbers just sit on for photos. we've scratched it up quite a bit in the process, so it'll probably have to get re-done. basically, any orders we get, a new board will be fabricated.
we have a couple of sets of each number, 0-9, to work with for now. so when we run out, more will have to be cut. this will be based entirely on demand, and takes time to receive them, so if you order, please be patient! (the "1" we received did not meet our standards, and is being re-drawn and re-cut, so it is not in any of the pics, but is available!)
we are hoping this project will do well! from helping us make a lil scratch for our model railroading, to helping the c&t, or the d&s, or whoever you would like your donation to go to; and giving you a little piece of replicated railroad history in the process!
