Continuing the thought about front-end throttles further, the ng IRCA in Guatemala had a great many of its 2-8-0's and 2-8-2's either built with front-end throttles or added when Superheat was later applied.
A number of the 100 series 2-8-0's that had front-end throttles included 116 which lasted late and ran on several charters.
Of the 57 heavy Mikados on the roster,
Baldwin 150-153 had dome throttles
Porter 154-156 had front-end throttles
Baldwin 157-161 had dome throttles
Krupp 162-168 had dome throttles
Krupp 169-174 had front-end throttles, 169 had the bellcrank and
linkage on the fireman's side, the others on the right
Baldwin 175-206 all had front-end throttles
