Does anyone know if the Colorado & Southern's narrow gauge boxcars built in 1898 by the St Charles Car Co. (C&S 8025 - 8064) had end doors, either as built or at any time in their careers?
C&S 8027, which exists in Boulder, has a very crudley constructed end door that appears to have been built by the farmer who bought the car from the C&S. I do not see and evidence of door hardware being monted on the end of the car, so I am left to believe that the car did not have and end door until it became a farm shed.
