Find the track! See, no ballast, no ties!

I read with interest comments by some U.S. operators on ties and ballast. That we should be so lucky!

Attached find three photos of the track from Ibarra to Salinas in Ecuador on which pass four passenger trains per day, believe it or not. And you people worry about ties and ballast! What are they for? We use Lawnmowers for our track! Much cheaper than ballast tampers!
