Re: D&RGW Classification/Marker light colors?

The locomotive marker colors are for train designation, I don't know what the rules state on the D&RGW, but the color of the markers displayed to the front will tell anyone who has a need to know, that train is of a particular service.

If the red lenses were displayed to the front, it would be safe to say that the locomotive was on the rear end of a move and was traveling in reverse for what ever reason. The other colors on that particular marker that were not facing the front of the loco were to be ignored.

The green lenses displayed to the front could mean that the train was an extra, or perhaps the white lenses were for a regular train. Do not quote these color statements as I am just using them for reference to the question.

I could dig out my old rule book and tell you what the Penn Central colors rules were, but I wouldn't know where to start looking for that book. Non the less I must do this at sometime in the near future, as my locomotive has interchangeable markers, also it would be good to have them in accordance with what the loco is doing.
