In response to readers requests the following is the fleet list of the G & Q as of January 14, 2009 and their depot allocations:
Durán:
Steam loco No. 11 operational but needs major overhaul.
Steam loco No. 18 needs major repair; Autoferro 3 operational
Bucay:
Autoferro 95 operational. Steam Locos Nos. 44 and 46 stored. 44 is repairable and 46 is a major restoration job.
Riobamba:
Steam locos Nos. 17 and 53 operational; No. 17 is temporarily on loan to Quito and operational there. It needs major overhaul but can stagger on for another year or so.
Autoferros 61, 97, 111 and 112 operational. New five coach train just entering service.
Stored serviceable Alsthom diesel locos 2401 (operational), 2403, 2406, 2408 and 2409
Quito:
Steam loco No. 58 operational. No. 17 currently on loan from Riobamba.
Autoferros 98 and 110 operational, 93 under refurbishment.
New five coach passenger train in service.
Stored serviceable Alsthom diesel locos 2404 and 2405. No. 2404 in service.
Ibarra:
Autoferros 10 and 86 (new) operational, No. 36 under repair.
Steam loco No. 14 operational but no suitable track. Comes off even in the yared.
Alsthom diesel locos 2402 and 2407 (one of them not serviceable).
New coaches under construction.
San Lorenzo:
1 Autoferro believed No. 33.
