Ed and Doug,

Thanks for the postings.

There are quite a few SG RS4TCs out there that have gone to museums and tourist operations. I also have a lead on where virtually in my back yard the corporate records for Davenport-Beseler Locomotive Works have been archived that I want to follow-up on. Perhaps I can find some info there on the narrow gauge version of the RS4.

It has always amazed me that my hometown here has negelcted to recognize the historical significance of Davenport, Iowa being the home to a well known small locomotive builder. The local museum is full of Egyption artifacts including a mummy that the founder of Chiropractic collected but there is virtually no reference to the Davenport Locomotive Works. We've got lots of gambling boats though. Go figure.
