Ted,
Trucks for the Esmeralda? Maybe, some day.
One of the original trucks is going under the restored caboose/business car #2. The trucks went under baggage car #12 (Jerry best noted this in 1938). Then when Parker Lyon purchased caboose #467 in the late 1940s it was without one of its passenger-style trucks and received one from #12. Then in time, the burned out #467 was acquired to provide parts for the first restorer of the #2.
CSRM has SP drawings of the Barney & Smith passenger car trucks used by the C&C.
The list of ng car bodies in Farrell's book originated with Herman Darr. I saw him just after the book came out and he was surprised that Farrell had reproduced the list.
The freight and passenger car rosters are fairly good. But additional research has provided new and better information.
My series on the passenger cars in the Journal of Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge Society is providing this information. The Esmeralda issue is the next one out.
