Hi Garrett,
A good source for D.& R.G.W. caboose drawings is the Colorado Railroad Museum.
As for the Drover combine caboose at Roaring Camp. It was built by McCavity & Sons for Roaring Camp. It has a steel frame with plywood siding.
The trucks were first used under stock cars from the Carson & Colorado,
This caboose is a the last of the orginal excursion cars that was built for Roaring Camp By this maker. the rest over time were all re built or replaced with steel frames.
I too have always liked this caboose and also have thought about building a caboose based around it with some minor changes. Such a project would be fun and challening project.
Tell Max and your father hello for me.
