My guess repeat GUESS would be that TUT is still "marketing" tours in the hope that he can either sell the whole business to someone else as a going concern, or (more likely at this point) get other operators to pickup specific tours, and maybe get some kind of compensation (commission) for the sign-ups that he can "deliver" from the TUT website.
It is pretty clear that the only information about what is going on is being sent to the people who already signed up and had to be notified. There appears to be no public announcement by TUT of anything being amiss.
The only good news seems to be the claim that no credit card payments have been processed since November, since once it was clear the business was failing, to do so probably could have led to criminal fraud charges. The evidence that TUT was struggling has been pretty obvious for some time.
A failing business is never a pretty picture for anyone. I doubt that Chris is enjoying all this.
It is sad to see TUT go down the drain, I enjoyed some good TUT tours over the years.
