Actually, you don't even need to wait that long. The boiler came back from heat treat recently. That nice, uniform gleam in the picture isn't quite there anymore.

Also as a correction, the boiler is being built for a locomotive designed by Historic Railway Consultants, not Hillcrest Shops as mentioned above. I'd edit the post, but I feel it's better to draw attention to the mistake and give credit where credit is due.
