When I had my property near Williams, every one knew that drilling a well was out of the question. The water is just too far down. Folks living outside of Williams haul their water from town. The town is supplied by a 2000 foot well that was put in by the Santa Fe. It went dry several years ago and the railroad drilled a new one. I belive Williams is set up like a lot of towns along the Sante Fe. They get the water from a presure system from the well/holding tank. These tanks are several hundred thousand gallons. The little town I live near, Yucca Arizona, is set up that way. The GCRY may not have had a water line running to the shop, but there is lots of water available in town.....unless the town did not let them have any water. Out here in the west, water is worth gold. The businesses in town do not have water hauled in.
