Chris, Contact Jerry Huck about viewing the engines etc. He is on sight most days. As he posts here regularly he may respond. AS far as things to see, in Baker is the restored SVRy depot built in 1890-91. At the site of the S. Baker SVRy yard, the car shop is still standing. This is the building shown in several popular photos of one of the mallets emerging from the building. The SVRy stores bld. is adjacent. Between S. Baker and Mason Dam, there are numerous places where the old ROW is visible. There are several bridge abutments still in place. The section house is still standing at Thompson although there is nothing to clue you in as you pass it what it once was. As you pass the old McEwen town site just below our yard, you can also see the old ROW and the grading for an old Y. The EBT hoppers are kept up the line above the yard about a mile at Hawley Spur for storage. Not real accessible unless you can comandeer a speeder. Lots of other neat stuff to see at the yard. If you follow Hwy. 7 to Prarrie City, the Depot there is a museum. Some other points of interest along the way such a recreation of one of the swithcbacks on the west side of Dixie Mtn. I hope you can connect with one of our folks over there to show you around. Enjoy!
