When the downtown Chama project was started there was an agreement reached between the railroad and the village. Unit #3 would be a Village and railroad park (Which it is) and the North entrance would be the exit for train riders. The village gave up a bunch of the chips from the old pavement and the contractor added a few trucks of pavement for the North EXIT. The North Exit also was changed so it could be used as both an entrance and a exit. The South road out of the yard was graded & covered with the chipped up old pavement and rolled. A new walkway from Terrace avenue to the depot was also built.
