Jim, I don't remember his exact reply, but as I recall he was delighted that for perhaps the first time ever our radio coverage was beyond expectations. Previous to his work we had trouble communicating at times between Sumpter and McEwen. For those not familiar with the topography of the area there is a ridge about 1000' higher than the valley called Huckleberry Mtn. where Larch Summit was in the old days that was between where we were and where Steve Christy the radio repair person was.
