where the original tender is no one really knows. The tender that it had upon delivery to the D&S in '81 is now behind the 499 in Canon City when the D&S traded the 499 for the 486 in 1999. The 499 lost hers somewhere along the way. Apparently a K-37 tender is being used as water storage somewhere in northern NM. The tenders for the K-37's have been playing musical chairs (tenders) for quite a while.
