Yeah Herb I think it does a little, but 41 itself also is nose heavy. She leans forward, springs sag a bit.
Tom she has some regular maintenance that needs to be done like lapping valves, recalibrating gauges, cleaning brake equipment, lubricator, and stuff like that. She also has some running gear issues that we need to attend to before they get worse. And the tender will get a good looking over, the truck need some attention. This is again the off season so steam is down all week till Saturday so this is when we do alot of the real maintenance on the locos and cars.
People don't realize that these engines do work.they think that because its in an amusement park it doesn't work it just putts around the park, like its not hard at all for the engine to pull the train. Well we DO work these locos, and things wear out. When you drive or operate anything 127 years old something is going to wear out. Its not a Honda!!!
