I saw that episode as well. Nice footage of 497.

Unfortunately because it is lettered Rio Grande the C&TS recieved no usable publicity. All of us who already know it is on the C&TS recognized it but the general public didn't learn anything about the existance of a very cool steam powered narrow gauge railroad in southern Colorado and northern New Mexico.

If the tender had been lettered Cumbres & Toltec they might have "googled" it and the C&TS would have recieved free publicity.
