Hi

Back in Denmark again. Just a few pic from the last days in the Harz.

Ausgezeichnet means excellent in English, and that is exactly what the German narrow gauge is.
But it is still second to Colorado NG.

First a mallet in Gernrode heading for Harzgerode via Alexisbad on the Selketalbahn.

In Harzgerode there was two train at the same time, which is rare.

In Alexisbad ther was three narrowgauge trains at the same time.
A motorcar heading for Eisfelser Talmuhle, a mallet for Harzgerode, and a 2-6-2 for Gernrode. It was my lucky day.

The motorcar and the mallet leave the station simultaneous !

Next week I am going to the Saxonia in the south east corner of Germany, there they have a lot of 860 mm narrowgauge steam railroads.
