Few places allow kids to participate like this. The crew of Shay #6 is all 10 years old. Scott Bauer is running the Shay as Rachel Bauer and Mitchel Smithbauer ring the bell, blow the whistle, and watch as we back up off the turntable lead. All of these kids including mine have been around the railroad since they started to learn to walk.
