yep, like fer instance: D & RG and RGW were merged on 7/31/08 to form the Denver & Rio Grande RR Co. (Consolidated). This company went into recivership on 1/25/18, as a result of the shenanigans surrounding the WP 1st mortgage bonds, sold at foreclosure for $5 Million (to WP Corp, a paper deal) on 11/20/20. Sale was confirmed by the court (some stockholders had sued, had the gall to claim that they were being ripped off) 7/27/21 and operations were taken over by the new Denver & Rio Grande Western RR on 8/1/21.
