Here is the picture that I linked earlier. It appears that Beam's shot was taken from the left (North) of this one. And he either was closer or had a more powerful lens (I'd vote for the latter).
Note the lower water level and lack of snow on the West Needle Mts in Beam's photo. That means it was taken in late summer/early fall.
Will David Border volunteer to "paint" in the clouds and some color to make it just like the drumhead?
