Thanks all for the responses. The Bald Mountain grade would be fun to explore but I'm not sure if it is accessible or on private land. I haven't even explored the old Rio Grande route yet. Now that I have seen the grade from the train I can see that my map of the BMRR is not correct. It needs to be higher on the hill on the north side of the valley.
