Thanks, John.
Wonderful views. I know a lot of us try to get the classic wedge shot of the train, without any other people except possibly the engineer or fireman in the cab window. But the railroad can't work without people: those who do all the jobs to to make the trains go, those it serves by carrying them or their goods. Your photos beautifully capture both groups, the railroaders and the people served by the railroad. The school children may have plastic lunch boxes instead of tin lunch pails, but otherwise, nothing much appears to have changed in a century since MCB couplers and air brakes were mandated by Congress. Otherwise, say, 1936 - the year consumer Kodachrome came out - could be anyone's guess. Thank you!
