Sounds good to me Dave, but I suspect that the sprinkler plan takes a couple of days to swell the wood. (Kinda like the old ice cream freezers).
My problem is that my fire pump is 55 horsepower and rated at 400 gpm out of a 2 1/2" hose. Kind of a gas hog, but it sure moves water! Depending how much pressure it is going to take to push water about 350 feet up hill and through about 2000 feet of pipe, it's going to be working pretty hard. Don't think I can run that beast for a whole day.
Remember that what is being proposed here is just to get a feel what the overall condition of the tank and pipeline is. This will be reported back to the commission so they will have more information to decide what they want to do next, such as to go after a grant.
