If you're taking the interstate, you'll be a way from the rail action. The most scenic place for shooting trains will be at Matfield Green, but it's a tad east of where you're going. It's on the BNSF transcon. When the transcon gets real busy, the run the eastbound trains via Wichita and Newton. Most Saturdays we see 10-15 trains go past the museum during the day. We're open Saturday all day and Sunday afternoon. www.gptm.us
