For those who wonder what Ken's talking about... Nathan Z. and I first noticed it back on June 16th, when only 8542 had been patched. Over the next two weeks, the other two painted B39-8Es (8577 and 8527) both received it as well.
As for the passenger ops, I think you meant "Rio Grande Scenic Railroad" unless they've changed something since I was down there. See crappy picture below (it's the only one I've got that shows the tender lettering well). Lately they seem to be marketing very heavily on the RGSR name for reasons unknown. Not sure if it's a marketing/branding distinction only, or they're a different operating company for some reason. Earl? Ed?
