I have mixed emotions about the proposed new center. On one hand, the facility is badly needed, and the proposed design is very well done. On the other hand, I have been dead set against the proposed location from the very beginning, and have said so. As far as I am concerned the center unnecessarily intrudes on what should be "sacred ground". There are alternatives, good and bad, which should be explored before this whole idea gets set in concrete.
(Now let me hasten to say that the rest rooms by the station are an exception to the rule, and are a "necessary"necessity.)
I read Nan Clark's posting with more than passing interest. What struck me was the "everybody thinks this way" tone. Sorry, Ms. Clark, no one has talked to me yet.
Let the games continue.
