The rail was removed near Cook's, about a mile from Robertsdale (and about 20 miles from the operating portion of the railroad). The thieves allegedly went in with forged paperwork telling adjoining property owners to give the bearers of the papers access to the right-of-way, as well as with a Dumpster for hauling rail out. A fairly large EBT plate-girder bridge (http://www.spikesys.com/EBT/Tour/mombrdge.html) was knocked askew, so that it's about ready to fall off one of its abutments.
I believe rail has been recovered from the Dumpster that was still at the site when the theft was reported and also from a local scrapyard.
