Re: Don't trust the C&TS website ... AMEN! thumbs down

Easy to miss mistakes? Hell, it's hard to find things that are NOT mistakes - such as the #315 Moonlight Trip, which was buried two layers deep under a "Special Events" tab that referred only to the 06/21 trip. It took me several tries to find the page, and I already knew about it!

As the former website coordinator for the County of Ventura, I may be overly fussy - but the bottom line for a website is not whether it is "pretty" but whether it is "USEFUL".

The new C&TS site is NOT useful, even without any outright mistakes in the content.

This will be a tough year for the C&TS, as it will be for all tourist railroads, and a strong marketing effort is critical. Nothing discourages potential customers in this day and age more than badly-designed website ...
