Hello, Michael -
I presume you were responding to my post, not Fred's response ...
For further information re Russo Loco (or, more formally, Russo de los Locos - Spanish for Russ of the Choo-Choos), talk to Roger Hogan. My previous avatar was more than 35 years old, so I am now using the photo Roger took of me on 06/16 - it's MUCH easier on the eyes. You can also use the NGDF 'Search' function to locate all of my posts from the last three or four years. Jeff Badger, Ed Stabler and Skip Luke are my most frequent co-conspirators; my correspondence with JBWX is usually more serious.
Roger and I got re-acquainted during the shooting of 'The Curmudgeonly Seven' a few years ago - see [
ngdiscussion.net]. In addition to my acting career, I have written three or four hit songs. The best known is 'The Ballad of Festus Frothjaw' aka 'The Foamite Song' - see [
ngdiscussion.net]. Skip, Ed, John West (baritone) and I (tone deaf) are going to record it for Ed's upcoming CD of railroad songs.
Your photo shoot at Chama sounds like great fun, and I sure wish I could be there next week. But I just spent 12 days on the road in June (10 of them in Narrow Gauge Country), so the piggy bank needs to be refilled before I can return - mid-September, most likely, for the peak of Fall Colors. I'll look forward to meeting you then if possible, or maybe next year.
All the best!
- Russo Loco
p.s. Watch out for a guy on the balcony of The (Shamrock) Hotel with a REALLY long lens taking time exposures of the Chama yard on the evenings of July 7th and 9th ...
pps. Everybody has a flip side - see also my recent threads re "#315 on 06/15", -16", -18" & -21" and also [
