American Car and Foundry built a total of six cars for the SV in 1918. The exterior of the cars are wood but they had steel underframes. At least the RPO cars were built with interior steel framing of the body (probably all of the cars were). Interior photos of the cars show a car that would match the "Harriman" style coaches of the era.
Originally there were
2 coaches #25 & 26
2 baggage-coaches #10 & 11
2 RPO - baggage (short cars) #4 & 5
All but #4 went north at one time or another. #5, #10 and #11 were sold to the US Army in July 1943 for use on the White Pass; later to WP&YR after the war. #25 and #26 were sold to the White Pass in 1947.
#10 became #209 to full passenger in 1982 on roster as #267 (renumbering date??)
#11 became #211 on roster
#25 became #266 on roster
#26 became #268 on roster
#5 became m/w #X-3 and is now gone
