Well, I'll add some very late comments here...I just now got home from this venture!
To all that were involved, my sincere thanks. The ride on the 18th behind 315 was the trip of a lifetime. Incredible adventure!
Don't neglect the standard gauge!!! Rode the train from Alamosa to La Veta and return. Not to be missed.
