Hey Russo. I already have that CD and watch it nearly everyday. It's worth several times the amount that Roger is charging for it. There are some spectacular shots in that collection.
I'm a professional computer geek so I'm surrounded by monitors and at least one is showing that screensaver most of the time. I get some strange looks sometimes. You'd expect lots of computer/geek stuff in my office. But, what you find is pictures (and 2 wall calendars) of century-old narrow gauge steam.
I have also amassed Colorado/New Mexico railroad photo collection about 8 Gigs in size from various sources on the web. I have that playing as a loop on a dedicated computer. That's all it does all day... entertain me.
I haven't timed it, but I imagine it takes a few days to play through the whole collection.
Any word on when the next 483 CD will be coming out?
The last time I saw T&P 610 she looked great. They have her sitting in the engine house in Palestine and they roll her out on occasion to sit in the sun and be gawked at. From what I hear she's a great candidate for restoration. There just has to be a need and some cash to make it happen.
One of my dreams, though, is to see TNO (SP) 982 under steam. She's a 2-10-2 that is currently stuffed and mounted outside of Minute Maid Park (formerly Houston Union Station). I had the privilage of working on her back in 2001-2 when there was still hope of that dream becoming reality.
