High temp today in Denver was 58. Following was posted by one of the local TV stations...

A SNOW ADVISORY continues until 6 p.m. for most mountain areas west of Vail Pass for 2 to 5 inches of snow.

The latest rotary snow plow run on the D&RGW was June 21, 1920 on the Floresta branch west of Crested Butte. This branch was closed during the winter and was not normally opened until May or June.

Latest D&RGW rotary run on Cumbres Pass was April 20, 1942.

There were a few flanger and spreader runs later than that, but it was usually all over on Cumbres by first part of April.

D&RG would typically remove the large wedge plows from engines in May and put them back on by the end of October.
