Ron,
The same thing happened to the Yosemite Valley Railroad's Merced turntable. It's still being used as a bridge on a county road.
I'm sure all sorts of ideas have been tossed around, and hashed, and re-hashed. What's the estamated cost to replace the bridge? Any hopes of maybe getting the UP to donate a flat car to fill in for the table as a bridge?
And being the paper minded fool that I am, has anyone been out there to make accurate drawings in hopes of ever restoring, it or building a replica?

PS. You and Jerry just need to wait for some heavy rain the go rescue it, you can claim it was washed away in the river.
