I flew into ABQ from West Texas last weekend for the opening day. It was a spur of the moment thing and for the three days I was there I rented a car from Hertz for a very reasonable $132 including all fees and taxes. Better yet, they had a promotion for free gas for a three-day rental. I brought it back nearly empty after driving to Chama and up and down the pass a couple of times. Check for internet specials like FREE gas if renting a car.
