I finally found the missing close-up photo of the Rio Grande gons up at Kent that I took in September and put it up on the site, albeit at a small size. In about 10 minutes, when anybody sees this, you shall be able to access the larger version. One of the gons has had new paint applied. I also fixed the broken link to the 111 page, which I didn't realize was not working.
On another note, I wanted to double-check on this; the 40 and 111 came up on the same train from Guatemala headed for Colorado (#40 to Lindsey Ashby, #111 to Don Drawer). #40 hauled the train out on IRCA (which also included the 'Cuscatlan' and the caboose I presume). The date that I have always known for #40 was 1977; however, I'm not sure if that was arrival, or operation. Did 111 and 40 both arrive in 77, and the #40 (since operable) go into service that same year at the Loop?
Thanks,
Ed Kelley
